Summary

Update PatchWRK Scanner's GitHub documentation to reflect its public availability as a free API Compatibility Scanner.

Changes

  • Make the Visual Studio Marketplace the primary VS Code installation path.
  • Preserve the verified no-build Scanner CLI instructions.
  • Document supported SDKs, current compatibility coverage, and platform limitations.
  • Update Local History and Scan Comparison instructions.
  • Clarify the MIT-licensed Scanner engine's public source availability.
  • Present PatchWRK Pro as the upcoming paid API maintenance platform.

Verification

  • Ubuntu CI: Passed.
  • macOS CI: Passed.
  • Documentation-only changes.
  • No Scanner engine or runtime modifications.

Release

PatchWRK: API Compatibility Scanner v0.2.5 is publicly available for macOS Apple Silicon through the Visual Studio Marketplace.

Security

An existing moderate Dependabot alert remains tracked separately. This PR does not modify runtime dependencies.

Document the public v0.2.5 Scanner, current history behavior and engine-source boundaries while preserving verified CLI installation and technical safety disclosures.
